Spaghetti bolognese, or spag bol, as it is often affectionately known, is a pasta dish based on ragù alla bolognese, which is a classic sauce from Bologna in Italy. Over in the UK, spag bol is almost as common as chips, but lots of people have got little secrets for their recipes. Some people add chocolate, Worcestershire sauce or cream. We’ve got a secret ingredient in ours too!
